So this week, the celebrity fashion was on another level. They came out in full-force during the Teen Choice Awards 2012 with different actresses battling it out in their colourful and striking pieces. However, the one celebrity that caught my eye was Taylor Swift.
Her white backless dress made her look even more elegant than usual (if that's even possible) matched with a pair of sky high Prada nude heels. No doubt winning a gong at the awards would've made her night that bit more special.
In terms of street style, I had to make a note of Lianne La Havas. She was spotted leaving BBC Radio 1 earlier this week.
The up & coming Brit soul singer looked absolutely amazing in her black skater skirt, her 70's style printed top and her red heels.
Stay posted! Special outfit of the day on its way soon! ;)

So there I was yesterday just doing my daily internet search when I came across a beautiful sight.
Yes. Jeffrey Campbell's lace litas, I swear I almost fell off of my chair.
One of my favourite things to wear is lace, so as soon as I saw this it was a 'MUST-HAVE ITEM.' The retail price is around £130 ( approx $150 I think). Lace is one of the trends for the Autumn/Winter 2012 collections so be on the lookout. These shoes are just amazing; they're sophisticated, flirty and so cute!! I will definitely be investing in a pair!! Make sure you don't miss out, they're flying off the shelves!!
Keep an eye out for an outfit of the day blog coming soon!

Every week I'll be posting which celebrity I personally feel is the celebrity style crush of the week, and this week, I feel Lea Michele won the title. Lea and the rest of the Glee cast hit the Comic Con 2012 this week and of all the celebrity actors there, Lea's outfit was by far the best. Her gorgeous sophisticated look consisted of a two piece Tweed suit by Stella and Jamie. The vintage inspired outfit was topped off with stellar red heels by Nicholas Kirkwood. The outfit was complete to perfection with her long tresses finished with a ombre honey colour and her olive skin complexion. I have always been a fan of Tweed and will definitely be on the lookout for more clothes with the vintage look.

A trend that has caught my eye this year and all for a good reason is the Metallic trend. Every trend can be either a success, or in the words of Andre Leon Talley ‘Dreckitude’ and the Metallic trend could have been as it somewhat reminds audiences of tin-foil (probably down to the shininess of the material). However I am pleased to say that the Metallic trend has definitely been a winner in the eyes of the world. The trend stormed in during the Oscars early this year as celebrities sparkled down the red carpet , made an appearance during the MET Gala and is still going strong as celebrities continue to work the trend. The figures of the celebrities are also a key factor in what makes this trend work!! Metallics can be found from clothes to nail polishes ( Barry M has some GORGEOUS ones) so everyone can have their own piece of the Metallic trend!

Leather is still hot in the trends and is making an entrance in the A/W 12 collections. With A-list
celebrities still working it, leather should be in for a long time to come. Kirsten
Dunst was seen landing at Charles de Gaulle airport for the Paris Haute Couture
Fashion Week in a very comfortable but stylish linen dress with a leather
jacket and ankle boots to compliment her outfit. Jessica
Alba definitely had all eyes on her as she sizzled in a gorgeous leather dress
at the Versace Haute Couture Fashion week with a smoky eye to finish her edgy
look. Olivia Palermo dazzled too at Christian Dior’s Haute Couture show in her
leather top with a pleated design. Meanwhile back in L.A, singer Ciara went
dominatrix with thigh high leather boots teamed with borderline hot pant jeans
shorts, and a casual white top with a lion print.

Whoever thought that a piece of clothing designed for the
night time in one’s home, would become a hit sensation and become daytime wear?
Yes, I’m talking about the Pajama trend. I don’t know if its madness or pure genius!! From
Rihanna strutting down the red carpet in Emilio Pucci, to Salma Hayek making
her way through an airport, celebrities left, right and centre seem to be
paying homage to Hugh Hefner’s daily apparel.
There’s definitely been a mixed reception; perhaps because some wear the
trend better than others. One key thing I’ve noticed that makes the trend work
is heels. The heels detract attention from the somewhat bizarre outfit resulting
in a very much chic look. My personal
favourite would have to be Salma’s chequered
pajama. Even though she seems to be wearing dolly shoes, the red lip,
the red pattern on her shoes and on the fabric, I believe makes the outfit brilliant! Elisa Sednaoui
comes second. The tight sequined blazer is tres chic and makes the pajama
outfit look somewhat wearable. Perhaps that is why in certain parts of London,
I have seen girls in pajamas roaming the streets! If this trend does go
mainstream, let’s hope we follow in the ways of our stylish celebrities before
us!!

Get your flowers at the ready!!! Items with floral print can be worn anywhere from beaches to festivals to normal days out. The trend has a hint of Boho Chic to it which is personally why I love it so much!! Everyone and anyone can wear Floral print and brighten up our streets. Not only does it make a bold statement but its tres cute!! It can be toned down with a vest if you wanted to wear the palazzo’s, or perhaps if you wanted to wear the corset, a nice pair of high waisted denim shorts would go nicely!!
Fashion Union (online store), TopShop, River Island and New Look are names of a few stores that are going IN with their Floral prints!!
This is definitely a trend for us girls!! Don’t miss out!!
Keep an eye out for my next outfit blog post! :))
