Boho Loving.

In my previous blog post, I said I'd do a few different outfits with my new found loves (the Black Suedette Shoes) so ta-daahhh!!*jazz hands*

 As you guys may already know, or soon will find out, my style is very much Boho so I decided to piece together a crop top (you can't see it because of the maxi skirt) and my coral pleated maxi skirt.

The top reads 'All that glitters is not gold' (Love that expression)!!

 My maxi skirt is sheer, yours doesn't necessarily have to be! Wear whatever maxi skirt makes you comfortable. I would suggest wearing one that flows though rather than a tight fitting maxi skirt because it could take away the Boho effect from the outfit.

I love the fact that my heels add a bit more Boho to the outfit (can't get too much ;)) The shoes are incredibly versatile which is great for me as I'm always changing up my look.

 I hope this outfit blog was helpful!! Keep checking for more outfit blogs :))

Casual Life.

Monday, June 25, 2012 Unknown 0 Comments

I've always wanted a pair of Jeffrey Campbell's Lita's but cheyerr (Helloo, student much? LOL). So I ordered a similar pair of heels that I fell in love with over the weekend. When they came through the post and I had a look at them, I almost collapsed.

I was thinking, 'This is impossible. How in heaven's name am I going to be stand in these let alone WALK in them??!!' Then I tried them on and I realised why it was that I had fallen in love with them. Yes the heel is huge, around 4/5 inches but they are so ridiculously comfortable I thought it was a joke. I didn't take them off for the rest of the morning!! You feel as if you're walking normally and completely forget that you're actually wearing heels!! I put the heels together with a very laid back, casual oufit.

I'm 5'6 and the heels make me just about 6' ( I don't know if the heels prove it but I am LOL). The only thing you would have to get used to is the height especially if you're going to wear them all day!!

This is one out of many outfits I will definitely be wearing in summer *fingers crossed* I can feel totally relaxed in my outfit and have the heels to add that bit of pizzazz ;)

*The heels are from Boohoo.com and £35* (Get in!! Student prices!! Oop, Ooop!) XD

The next few outfit blogs I'll be posting will be different outfits which can be worn with the shoes so hopefully you'll be inspired by one of them!! Keep checking & hope you have a great week!!

Dip Hem Overtake.

Monday, June 18, 2012 Unknown 2 Comments

One trend that I am LOVING at the moment, is the dip hem skirts/dresses!! Tres cute!!! The first time I saw one was in New Look a couple months back. I loved how different it was. I love the style of it; I sometimes complain when I'm wearing my maxi dresses/skirts because I wanted some open air on the front of my legs and viola! My prayers were answered!! They're very easy to style and can be worn quite easily with a plain black vest (as shown below) with a cute leather jacket on top for a touch of edge. Or if you're wearing the dip hem dress, you too can style it with a leather jacket and a nice pair of heels and a chunky necklace (maybe for a night out)!!

^^ River Island £45                                                                               ^^ New Look (NOW £24.99)

These would be amazing for holiday wear or even just for the summer!! I will definitely be purchasing one of these when I see the one that screams my name!!! Make sure you guys don't miss out!

Make sure you keep checking my blog for another outfit post!!! :D

Pretty In Pastel.

Saturday, June 16, 2012 Unknown 0 Comments

Pastel, pastel, pastel! Everywhere you shop, there’s pastel, and it couldn’t have come at a better time! With us still waiting for the sun to make an appearance, pastel clothes are just what the doctor ordered. 2012 Catwalk’s have been filled with pastel designs with Jonathan Saunders collection, (above) being one of the many designers to debut pastel for their SS12 collection.
Pastel is definitely a winner because the colours are sophisticated, fun and incredibly feminine. The best thing is that it doesn’t just stop at clothes; you can buy Pastel coloured nail polish (Barry M has some INSANE ones going) and even pastel inspired shoes! You can never get enough!! Pastel is definitely something for the summer, make sure you don’t miss out!!

Evening Chic.

Tuesday, June 12, 2012 Unknown 0 Comments

When going out for dinner, it's always nice to dress up and add a bit of pizazz to the outfit; from the hairstyle right down to the shoes. Depending on my mood, I like adding a bit of edge to my outfits. Below is one of the rock chic inspired outfits that could be worn for dinner dates and is once again very easy to achieve!! :)

Not only is the outfit edgy, it's not too over the top which is a nice feeling as we don't want to parade in and around London with eyes gelled firmly on us now do we? ;P

The creme blouse compliments the outfit and brings a sense of sophistication to the outfit, so you could wear the outfit without the leather jacket if you wanted to :)

I kept my jewellery very very simple to not take away attention from the outfit, but I made sure it was big enough to make its own statement.

Black leggings = rock/biker chick and is the main reason I decided to wear it with this outfit as it screams the theme that I wanted.

I wore my wedges to add that touch of classiness ;)

Now if you don't want to wear a leather jacket, you could always go for a blazer!

It's sophisticated with a touch of elegance and you would still be rocking the outfit! *
Below are the prices for the clothes!!
Leather Jacket = H&M (it was gift! Sorry! But H&M are selling some LOVELY ones atm for a good price!!)
Blouse =  Anonymous shop in Camden Town £12.99
Leggings = £22.99 River Island
Wedges = Amazon.co.uk £20.99
Necklace = £6.65 Forever21

* My blazer is actually my old Secondary school one ;) so if you can still fit into your old school blazer you can save yourself some money! hahaa XD

I hope you enjoyed this outfit blog and that it inspires you in some way for your dinner date outfits!! Keep checking for more outfit blogs!!

Modern Day Print

Saturday, June 09, 2012 Unknown 0 Comments

One of the current trends out at the moment which I happen to adore is Print. Aztec print, tribal print etc. I love the patterns, the colours, I love the way that it is all put together. I also love the fact that it brings the element of culture (personally the vibe I get is African/Aboriginal) and that everyone can connect to it through the item of clothing.

Through overheard conversations, and casual talks with friends, I've seen how some people feel that prints wouldn't suit them or they wouldn't know what to wear prints with. I believe anyone and everyone can wear prints if they want to. I put together an outfit with an aztec print top as an example of one of the ways it could be worn. It's very casual with an element of Boho chic and very easy to achieve!

Aztec print and the colour in this instance is quite bold and I know that can put some people off as they don't want attention. So you can tone it down by throwing on a denim waistcoat over the top and wearing some high waisted shorts!

I threw in my Bowler's hat to add a bit of Vintage edge to the outfit.

In terms of jewellery, I kept it very simple and stuck to the Print vibe by sporting an Aztec chunky bracelet and a tribal ring.

I wore my loafers to compliment the whole outfit and to keep it sweet :)

And just too add a bit of 70's funk, I threw in my hippie inspired sunglasses.

  Aztec/Tribal prints are a MUST-have this summer, I mean just imagine yourself parading around in the sunshine in your printed out outfit! Prints are amazing for festivals too e.g. Wireless (hint hint ;)). Below I've written the shops & the prices of the clothes so go and get your shop on!! ;)

Bowlers hat = TopShop   £25
Aztec print top = Forever21  £8.25
Denim waistcoat = H&M   £19.99
High Waisted Shorts (just in case you wanna know ;)) = Next around   £22 (I purchased this a while ago, sorry!)
Loafers = New Look   £17.99
Sunglasses = H &M   £6.99
Chunky Aztec Bracelet = New Look   £4.99
Tribal ring = New Look £4.99

I hope this gave you guys some insight into how to style aztec print tops!! Watch this space for more!!
